Minsk Budget for 2025 Executed With Deficit of 82 Million Rubles

The Minsk City Council, by decision No. 231 of March 27, approved the report on the execution of the Minsk budget for 2025. The document was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal.

Budget revenues of the Belarusian capital last year amounted to nearly 12.3 billion rubles, while expenditures reached 12.38 billion rubles. The budget deficit stood at 82.04 million rubles.

Last year, the Minsk city budget received 5.84 billion rubles from personal income tax, 3.79 billion rubles from profit tax, and 727.98 million rubles in property income. Non-tax revenues amounted to 753.67 million rubles. The city also collected 81.59 million rubles in fines.

The Minsk City Executive Committee spent:

– 2.57 billion rubles on general government activities, of which 2.25 billion rubles were transferred to other budgets;
– 14.07 million rubles on national defence;
– 85.49 million rubles on courts and security agencies;
– 1.3 billion rubles on the national economy, including 1.02 billion rubles on public transport, with nearly 453 million rubles allocated to the metro;
– 2.28 billion rubles on housing and utilities and housing construction, including 989.3 million rubles for urban improvement;
– 2.84 billion rubles on healthcare;
– 370.05 million rubles on physical education, sports, culture and media;
– 2.4 billion rubles on education, including 742.4 million rubles for preschool and 1.28 billion rubles for general secondary education;
– 404.6 million rubles on social policy.
