The Ministry for Emergency Situations reports flooding caused by meltwater in 11 districts of Belarus.
According to the ministry, the spring flood has affected four regions of the country:
Spring hydrological processes continue to develop on Belarusian rivers. In the basins of the Western Dvina, Dnieper, Biarezina, Sozh, and Prypiats rivers, as well as in certain sections of the Neman and Viliya rivers, stable ice cover and ice cover with openings remain. Ice thickness ranges from 12 to 43 cm. A steady rise in water levels is being observed, with increases of up to 28 cm per day.
