MAZ Cuts Truck Sales In Russia In August

Sales of MAZ trucks in Russia declined in August, according to data from the Avtostat-Info agency.

In August, 159 new MAZ trucks were registered in Russia, 24% fewer than in the same period last year.

Sales by the Minsk-based plant totaled 1,939 units in January-August, down 4.4% from last year.

The Russian truck market as a whole declined by 25.66% in August to 3,639 units, while over the first eight months of the year it fell by 15% to just under 33,000 trucks.

KAMAZ, Dongfeng and FAW are the market leaders.
