The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade has compiled a top 10 list of Belarus’ largest retail chains.
The chart is based on each chain’s share of the consumer market, so the ranking does not correlate with the number of retail outlets.
The market leaders are Euroopt, Dobronom and Santa.
MART noted that over the past 10 years, the number of retail outlets has increased by nearly 21%. Minsk recorded the largest increase, with the number of outlets there rising by 60% over the decade. The Mogilev region was the least dynamic, with an increase of just 4%.
