Lithuanian businessman Vytautas Slankauskas was detained in Belarus in June. LRT reported this, citing Lithuania’s Foreign Ministry.
Slankauskas worked as head of the internal audit department at Austrian investment company HS Belacon in Belarus. Before that, he headed the company for three years.
The Foreign Ministry said the Lithuanian embassy had been informed of the detention.
According to LRT, the Lithuanian citizen is accused of supplying defective parts. However, the exact circumstances are unknown. The Foreign Ministry declined to disclose further information.
