Mahiliou Regional Executive Committee is preparing a proposal to increase the area of Drybin District. This was announced by head of the regional executive committee Anatol Isachanka following a report to Alyaksandr Lukashenka.
According to Isachanka, Drybin District will be expanded using land from Mahiliou, Shklou and Horki districts. Its area will increase by 10,000 hectares. As a result, the district’s size will approach the average for districts in Mahiliou Region.
After the enlargement, six agricultural enterprises will operate in Drybin District instead of three.
“There is already groundwork in place. Some issues are still being detailed. I think by the end of the week we will be ready to report this to the head of state”, Isachanka said, according to BelTA.
