Magyar Proposes Hungary as Venue for Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks

Hungary’s new prime minister, Peter Magyar, believes his country could serve as a venue for negotiations aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine war.

“We can provide diplomatic and humanitarian assistance, and Hungary could also be a place for negotiations,” he said in an interview with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

It should be noted that the possibility of holding talks in Budapest had previously been discussed during the tenure of Viktor Orbán. However, that initiative never materialised.
