Luxembourg, Latvia and Norway Contributed 530,000 Euros to the International Humanitarian Fund in 2025

Head of the United Transitional Cabinet Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya thanked Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Luxembourg and Spain for supporting the International Humanitarian Fund for Belarusian political prisoners and their families.

According to her, in 2025 Luxembourg, Latvia and Norway collectively contributed 530,000 euros for assistance and rehabilitation of those repressed.

“This is true solidarity,” the democratic leader wrote on X.

The IHF began operating in October 2024. The fund’s operator is the Norwegian Helsinki Committee (NHC). This Norwegian organisation not only receives and transfers collected funds to partner organisations but also sits on the governing body of the IHF. Alongside the NHC, the governing body currently includes the Country for Life Foundation, the Dissidentby Foundation, the non-profit INeedHelpBY, and the Volnyja initiative.
