Lukashenka to Visit Indonesia on July 2

Aliaksandr Lukashenka will travel to Indonesia on a state visit on July 2. Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou is currently in Indonesia, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

On June 30, Ryzhankou met with Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono as part of preparations for Lukashenka’s visit.

“During the meeting, the ministers discussed preparations for the upcoming state visit, including a number of bilateral documents and agreements that are expected to be signed during the visit. Both sides expressed their appreciation for the close coordination between their ministries and agencies, which ensured the successful preparation of the visit,” the Indonesian Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

During the visit, Lukashenka is expected to present a roadmap for bilateral cooperation for 2026–2030.

The sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations in the economy, agriculture, food security, culture, science and technology, and also exchanged views on regional and global issues.

Lukashenka was in Russia’s Valdai from June 26 to 28, where he met with Vladimir Putin. On June 28, he arrived in China, where he held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Today, he took part in the graduation ceremony for the first cohort of the joint Belarusian-Chinese biotechnology programme run by the Belarusian State University and Peking University. Lukashenka’s youngest son, Mikalai Lukashenka, is among the programme’s graduates.
