Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin are meeting at the Russian leader’s residence in Valdai, Lukashenka’s press service reported.
“The two heads of state are holding one-on-one talks at Vladimir Putin’s residence in Valdai. The agenda includes current issues of Belarusian-Russian cooperation in various fields and the implementation of joint projects. International issues and the regional situation are also at the center of attention,” the statement said.
As in previous years, Lukashenka is accompanied on the trip by his youngest son, Mikalai.
According to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, the two leaders are discussing regional security, economic cooperation, and other current issues.
“The two heads of state are discussing the agenda of the Union State, various issues of trade and economic cooperation, the implementation of joint economic projects, as well as matters related to regional security,” he said.
