Lida Resident Takes Out Loans in Colleagues’ Names and Spends Money on Gambling

Five residents of Lida contacted the district police department, reporting that loans totaling 46,000 rubles had been taken out in their names. During the investigation, authorities established that a 37-year-old colleague of the victims had used access to their mobile phones to arrange microloans.

As the Interior Ministry reported, she transferred the money to her own account and spent it on repaying debts and gambling. A criminal case has been opened. The detained woman faces up to 12 years in prison.
