On February 16, Anatol Liabedzka, advisor to Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya on parliamentary cooperation, took part on behalf of the Office of Tsikhanouskaya in official events in Vilnius marking the Restoration of the Lithuanian State Day.
The politician noted that for Belarusians it is important to stand alongside Lithuania on such symbolic dates and to share the values of freedom, statehood and a European future. Liabedzka expressed hope for a shared European future for Belarus and Lithuania.
“Lithuania has demonstrated during this time what a country and a people who believe in themselves and strive for the future can achieve. I can only join the congratulations that were voiced by President Gitanas Nausėda and the President of the European Parliament.
I believe that we will have a shared European future. We will live side by side in the ‘European quarter’. Long live Belarus! Thank you, Lithuania!” Liabedzka said.
