Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing will visit Belarus on an official visit at the invitation of Aliaksandr Lukashenka, Myanmar’s Ministry of Information reported.
Min Aung Hlaing is currently visiting Russia.
“During the visit, the President of Myanmar will meet with the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and other officials of the Belarusian government.
The President will hold warm discussions on issues related to further strengthening existing bilateral friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, including the economic and social sectors and security,” Myanmar’s Ministry of Information said.
The visit will also include participation in the Belarus-Myanmar Business Forum and the opening ceremony of the Myanmar Embassy in Minsk.
Min Aung Hlaing came to power in Myanmar following a military coup in 2021. Since then, he had headed the interim government. In 2026, the country’s parliament elected him president.
