Hanna Kanapatskaya, whom the regime of Alyaksandr Lukashenka uses to create the appearance of opposition in Belarus, has boasted that she flew to Washington and checked into a hotel on the same street as the White House. She wrote about this on her Facebook blog.
“The Washington area welcomed me with rain and above-zero temperatures. Up to +16 on Wednesday,” she commented on her photo from the airport.
Kanapatskaya hinted at a receiving side but did not specify who it was.
“The receiving side is very tactful and disciplined. The hotel is excellent! Especially the location — on the same street as the White House, one and a half kilometres from the Capitol,” she said.
Earlier, she had boasted that she plays an important role in Belarusian-American relations and about an upcoming visit to the United States. In particular, on February 14 Kanapatskaya spoke about a business trip “announced in a conversation with the country’s president from the rostrum of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly back in December.”
It should be recalled that on December 19, 2025, Alyaksandr Lukashenka suggested that Hanna Kanapatskaya, together with Prime Minister Alyaksandr Turchyn, take part in establishing relations with the Kushner family.
