Pavel Latushka, Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet and Head of the National Anti-Crisis Management, held a meeting with Justyna Chrzanowska, Director of the Consular Department of Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the department’s leadership. The parties discussed support for released Belarusian political prisoners and the resolution of humanitarian situations, the press service of the United Transitional Cabinet reported.
The meeting was also attended by Mikhail Kiryliuk, Head of the Legal Commission of the Coordination Council, and Veranika Stankevich, Coordinator of the “Volnyya” initiative.
Latushka thanked the Polish government and the Foreign Ministry for the support provided to Belarusian citizens forced to leave the country.
The participants discussed the legalisation of released political prisoners and reviewed mechanisms for assisting Belarusians in resolving humanitarian situations.
“Following the meeting, positive decisions were adopted by the Polish side. A number of specific, most complex cases requiring individual solutions were also considered. An agreement was reached to maintain systematic and оператив contact to address problematic issues,” the United Transitional Cabinet said.
