The illegal cargo was discovered in cardboard boxes during an inspection of a truck at the Bobrowniki border crossing on the Belarusian-Polish border. The vehicle was transporting postal shipments from Russia to the European Union.
Customs officers seized nearly 20,000 packs of Belarusian cigarettes and almost 60 packages of medicines, including drugs used to treat infertility, cardiovascular diseases and insomnia. The total value of the smuggled goods exceeds 415,000 zlotys ($111,000).
