Krutoi Says Lukashenka’s Asia Tour Is Linked to Projects Worth “Tens of Millions of Dollars”

Head of Aliaksandr Lukashenka‘s Administration Dzmitry Krutoi, in an interview with the state television channel Pervyi Informatsionnyi, commented on Lukashenka’s extended visit to East and Southeast Asia. According to him, the trip will focus on projects worth “tens of millions of dollars”, which Krutoi described as matters “at the presidential level.”

“As for the president’s lengthy business trip, these visits were indeed prepared over many months, some since the end of last year. That is why our leader made the decision long ago to visit a number of Southeast Asian countries with which we have developed very promising projects, in fact worth tens of millions of dollars. These are projects at the presidential level and issues at the presidential level,” he said.

“There is no need to create a sensation where there is none. This is absolutely routine, systematic and very meticulous work. For several days now, our president has been studying the relevant materials, making adjustments, and intensive work is under way to prepare these visits in the best possible way,” the head of the administration added.

As reported earlier, Aliaksandr Lukashenka departed today on a visit to the East and Southeast Asia region. The trip includes high-level talks with the leaders of several countries in the region and discussions on “large-scale and promising” projects in various fields. The itinerary includes three countries.
