Information Ministry Adds Free Belarus Museum Account to List of “Extremist Materials”

Belarus’ Information Ministry has updated its Republican List of Extremist Materials. Among the additions are the Facebook page and logo of the Free Belarus Museum. The corresponding decision was issued on June 3, 2026, by the Leninski District Court of Hrodna.

The following were also added to the list:

• Instagram accounts “Belarus en France”, “Belarusian Runners Commynity”, “marina_girin”, “kalinoucy_official”, and “zivebelarus_slavaukraine (Трибунал! ст. 128)“;
• Facebook pages “Гражданственность.ВY”, “Legalize Belarus”, “Гісторыя Беларусі”, “Stop represjom na Białorusi”, “Rushennie”, “RAZAM e.V. – Belarusische Gemeinschaft”, and “Маладая Грамада”;
• TikTok accounts “ГОМЕЛЬ И ОБЛАСТЬ – НОВОСТИ”, “gorshish7”, “kshi_7”, and “olgakempinsky”.

It should be recalled that in Belarus, extremism-related accusations are used by the authorities to target opponents of Lukashenka and dissent more broadly.
