Illegal Use of Recycling Fee Benefits Identified in Mahiliou Region

The State Control Committee of the Mahiliou Region inspected 18 private business entities and identified violations in five of them. Entrepreneurs improperly used benefits on the payment of the recycling fee when importing freight vehicles in 2025.

The agency reminded that the benefits are granted to carriers to renew their truck fleets and to stimulate export transportation. A mandatory condition is the use of imported vehicles exclusively for international transport within one year after import. The violators, however, also used the vehicles for domestic transport.

The amount of improperly obtained benefits totalled nearly 300,000 roubles. Following recommendations by the State Control Committee, part of the sum has already been transferred to the budget by the violators, while the recovery of the remaining amount remains under supervision.
