In Ivanava, ice formations developed on a stretch of the Samaranka River along Kosmonavtov Street, turning the area into a trap for ducks. A rescue operation to save the birds was launched in the city, the press service of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry reported.
Emergency workers cleared the ice, and the birds returned to their natural habitat.
