Government Approves Plan For Year Of The Belarusian Woman

The Council of Ministers has adopted a resolution on holding the Year of the Belarusian Woman. It contains an action plan aimed at “promoting the role of women and their contribution to the development of society, as well as achieving concrete results in supporting women and families with children, and fostering public dialogue on the theme of the year.”

The government’s press service also outlined the key areas of the plan:

  • the formation of the Belarusian woman brand and media support: the launch of a women’s online radio station, media projects #Beloruska21Veka, #EverythingStartsWithFamily, and Woman’s Face of Belarus;
  • the promotion of the significant contribution of Belarusian women on international platforms: international-level forums and strengthening the role of women in preserving the family and peace;
  • the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and strengthening women’s health: a set of measures to prevent various diseases, as well as the organization of sports and wellness events and festivals;
  • cultural and social events: numerous dialogue platforms, exhibitions, campaigns, and competitions, including “Woman of the Year,” “Family of the Year,” the “Together” family festival, and the youth project “Dziavochy Vianok Miru”;
  • information and educational projects “Helping Hand,” “Point of Support,” “Being a Mom Is Cool!” and others.

The Ministry of Labor will be responsible for implementing the plan. Earlier, the year’s logo was approved.
