Belhydromet has issued an orange-level weather warning for Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures across Belarus are expected to fall, although hot weather will persist.
“During the daytime on June 30 and July 1 (Tuesday and Wednesday), maximum air temperatures across most of the country will range from 30C to 34C, while some areas in the south and southwest will see temperatures of 35C to 37C. In Minsk, daytime maximum temperatures will reach 30C to 32C on June 30 and 30C to 31C on July 1,” the warning said.
A red-level weather warning remains in effect across the country today. Temperatures are expected to reach 35C to 39C across most of Belarus, with some areas seeing 30C to 34C. In Minsk, temperatures are forecast at 33C to 35C.
