First Meeting Of The Peace Council Planned For February 19 — Media

The first meeting of the Peace Council is planned for February 19, CNN reported, citing an invitation reviewed by the network’s journalists.

The meeting is expected to take place at the American Institute of Peace, which President Donald Trump renamed in his own honor.

A U.S. official said the meeting is partly conceived as a fundraising event, but stressed that the details are still being worked out.

As previously reported, Alyaksandr Lukashenka has joined the Peace Council. The organization was initially created to implement a peace plan for the Gaza Strip, but Trump later announced that it would address global peace issues.
