On the evening of Aug. 12, a pensioner was struck by a train near Kharytony station and suffered fatal injuries, the Investigative Committee reports.
The 74-year-old man was returning home from a neighboring village via the railway tracks. According to eyewitnesses, he saw and heard that a train was approaching but decided to cross the tracks.
The Investigative Committee is conducting an inquiry.
