A fire broke out on Friday evening at a pellet fuel production and packaging facility in the agro-town of Shapchytsy in Staryja Darohi District. The emergency call was received by the Ministry for Emergency Situations on Friday evening.
When firefighters arrived, the production building was engulfed in open flames. According to information from the ministry’s press service, the facility contained 100 tonnes of pellets and pellet production equipment at the time the fire started.
Nine units of emergency equipment were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
