Finance Ministry Details Budget Spending on Agriculture

The Finance Ministry has released information on budget financing for the agricultural sector this year.

According to the ministry, the consolidated budget allocates 5.3 billion Belarusian rubles to the agro-industrial sector, including 1.2 billion Belarusian rubles from the national budget and 4.1 billion Belarusian rubles from local budgets, including targeted transfers from the national budget.

The funding is allocated to the following areas:

  • 1.2 billion Belarusian rubles for technical modernisation and the provision of production inputs, including fuel and lubricants, mineral fertilisers, agricultural machinery and spare parts.
  • 1.4 billion Belarusian rubles for direct support to producers. This includes bonuses for products sold, interest rate subsidies and subsidised loans for agricultural enterprises.
  • 2.7 billion Belarusian rubles for other expenditures related to the development of agricultural production and processing infrastructure.
