Belarus’ Information Ministry has updated its Republican List of Extremist Materials. Among the newly designated resources is the Euronews website. The decision was issued on Aug. 4 by the Horki District Court of the Mahiliou Region.
The updated list also includes:
- Instagram pages: “VOLNY CHOR | VOLNY CHOR”, “Honest Newspaper. Samizdat”, “svetlana_shatilina”, “neiserika”, “look.at.grodno” (as well as its logo), and “Rezka”;
- the “Rezka” page on Threads;
- TikTok accounts: “Look at Grodno” (as well as its logo);
- Telegram channels and groups: “Poznavatelno Odnako”, “SP”, “Telegraf SP”, “sp_telegraf”, “Ve1”, “Nasch DRUG”, “MY NE KHOLOPY non-extremist”, as well as the logo of the “Stop Propaganda” channel;
- Telegram bots: “Belarusians Abroad – Bot”, “Return What Was Stolen!”, “Belarusians Abroad Chat Bot”, “FreeZhlobinContactBot”, “BelaMedia Bot”, “Belarus_for_Change. Bot for Receiving Messages”, “NAU”, as well as the logo of the “Stop Propaganda Bot”;

It should be recalled that in Belarus, extremism-related accusations are used to prosecute opponents of Aliaksandr Lukashenka and suppress dissent more broadly.
