A residential area on Chervyakova Street in Minsk was flooded today. The cause was damage to a water pipeline.
According to Minskvodokanal, during work carried out by the construction company SU-173 Trest No. 15, a 600-millimetre pipeline was damaged. As a result, water supply was disrupted in the area bounded by Novovilenskaya, Chervyakova, Bogdanovicha, Nekrasova, Orlowskaya and Shevchenko streets.
Later, the Emergency Ministry published footage of the flooding in the affected district.
“Rescuers are receiving reports from residents about the flooding of private household yards in the area of Chervyakova Lane in Minsk. Emergency Ministry equipment has been dispatched to pump out the water,” the ministry said.
There is no information about flooding of the roadway or public transport stops. A district emergency commission will be established at the site.
