Education Ministry Sets Dates For Final Exams In 2027

The Ministry of Education, by Resolution No. 148 of Aug. 19, set the dates for final exams in schools at the end of the 2026/27 academic year.

Final exams at the second stage of general secondary education, that is, after the ninth grade, will be held from June 1 to 10 during the main examination period, and from Aug. 16 to 23 during the alternative period.

Most students will take four exams:

  • “Belarusian Language” – a written composition based on a text;
  • “Russian Language” – a written composition based on a text;
  • “Mathematics” – a written test;
  • “History of Belarus” – an oral examination based on examination tickets.

Students in the second department of a special school, a special boarding school for students with hearing impairments, and a special school or special boarding school for students with severe speech impairments will take three exams:

  • “Belarusian Language” or “Russian Language” (at the student’s choice) – a written composition based on a text;
  • “Mathematics” – a written test;
  • “History of Belarus” – an oral examination based on examination tickets.

Upon completion of education and training at the third stage of general secondary education (11th grade), final assessments in the form of a centralized exam will be held on the following dates:

  • in the subjects “Physics,” “Mathematics,” “Chemistry,” “Biology,” “Foreign Language (English, German, Spanish, French, Chinese),” “History of Belarus in the Context of World History,” “Geography,” and “Social Studies” (at the student’s choice) during the main examination period – May 27, 2027;
  • in the subject “Belarusian Language” or “Russian Language” (at the student’s choice) during the main examination period – May 31, 2027.

Reserve days for taking the exams will be the days on which centralized testing in the specified subjects is held, while the alternative examination dates are Aug. 9 and 11.

Separate dates and types of exams have also been set for students with developmental disabilities.
