In the agrotown of Veyna in the Mahilyow District, a 63-year-old local resident got into a conflict with a group of young people, unhappy with their noisy behavior. The incident occurred yesterday evening, the Interior Ministry press service reported.
The scuffle continued in a nearby shop, where the man pulled out a knife and began threatening the young people. The teenagers managed to knock the knife out of the attacker’s hands, after which he fled. As a result of the incident, an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl sustained minor cuts.
Witnesses contacted traffic police officers who were nearby, and they detained the suspect. A medical examination showed that the man was intoxicated, with a blood alcohol level of 2.5 per mille. An investigative team worked at the scene, and a check is underway.
