A drone violated Moldova’s airspace overnight, the country’s Interior Ministry and Defence Ministry said.
The drone entered Moldova at 12:20 a.m. in the area of the Mikhaylovka–Lopatna border section.
Later, fragments of the drone were found in a field near the village of Lopatna. Evidence at the scene indicated that an explosion had occurred.
The drone’s wreckage is now being examined to determine where it came from and the circumstances surrounding the explosion.
