Defence Ministry to Hold Mobilisation Exercise in Hrodna Region

Belarus’ Defence Ministry will conduct a mobilisation exercise with military commissariats in the Hrodna Region from June 17 to June 26.

“The exercise will focus on reinforcing military commissariats through the call-up of reservists for military training, followed by their participation in the exercise as part of the military commissariats,” the ministry’s press service said.

According to the ministry, those called up will improve their military skills, learn to operate weapons and military equipment, and practise carrying out tasks assigned by exercise commanders that require prompt decisions and actions.

“The exercise will include drills related to notifying reservists and arranging the arrival of reservists and vehicles at preliminary assembly points. Citizens will be issued notices requiring them to report to reservist assembly points to verify their personal data,” the ministry added.

The ministry also warned that explosions and gunfire may be heard near military commissariats and other facilities during the exercise. Traffic restrictions may be introduced on certain streets located near military commissariats.
