Lithuanian border guards intercepted another drone carrying cigarettes from Belarus, the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service reported.

During the night of July 8, cameras detected a small object flying from Belarus in the Šalčininkai district. It was forced to land using counter-drone equipment.

The improvised drone was found about 500 metres from the border. A package attached to it contained 1,000 packs of Belarusian cigarettes. The cargo was valued at €5,460.

It was the 31st smuggling drone intercepted by Lithuanian border guards since the beginning of the year.
