Dates Announced for Cranberry and Lingonberry Harvest Across All Regions of Belarus

The National Legal Internet Portal today published decisions by the Homiel and Vitsyebsk regional executive committees establishing the 2026 harvesting dates for cranberries and lingonberries. As a result, the permitted berry-picking dates have now been announced for all regions of Belarus.

In 2026, berries may be harvested:

  • in the Vitsyebsk Region, lingonberries from Aug. 15 and cranberries from Sept. 14,
  • in the Homiel Region, lingonberries from Aug. 12 and cranberries from Sept. 10,
  • in the Minsk Region, lingonberries from Aug. 14 and cranberries from Sept. 8,
  • in the Mahiliou Region, lingonberries from Aug. 14 and cranberries from Sept. 12,
  • in the Hrodna Region, lingonberries from Aug. 14 and cranberries from Sept. 12,
  • in the Brest Region, lingonberries from Aug. 12 and cranberries from Sept. 10.

Harvesting berries in prohibited areas or before the officially established dates is punishable under Part 2 of Article 16.19 of Belarus’ Code of Administrative Offenses. Violators face a fine of up to 20 base units.
