Customs Prevent Another Sole Proprietor From Bringing Goods Into Belarus From Russia

Homiel Customs has stopped another attempt by a sole proprietor to import goods into Belarus from Russia.

Customs officers stopped a truck belonging to an entrepreneur from Homiel at the border with Russia. The vehicle was carrying footwear, clothing and other goods.

The inspection found that there was no evidence the goods had undergone customs clearance upon entering the Eurasian Economic Union. In total, more than 27,000 items worth over 450,000 Belarusian roubles were being imported without the required documentation.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated.
