The Vilnius Belarusian Museum named after Ivan Luckievich is inviting scholars from the humanities and social sciences to participate in the interdisciplinary academic conference “Culture Captive to the Past,” which will take place on June 11–13 at the Ivan Luckievich Belarusian Museum in Vilnius.
The events of recent years have repeatedly highlighted not only the enormous role of the canons of Belarusian culture, history, and heritage, but also the need for their analysis and reinterpretation. The conference calls precisely for such work. Researchers will share their findings on the topics of historical canons, contemporary canons, and the development of future canons.
Those wishing to participate are asked to fill out the application form by May 20.
