CSTO Plans to Create Collective Air Force

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is planning to establish a collective air force. This was announced by CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov following a meeting of the Council of Defence Ministers.

“We have also prepared a document that will be signed today and submitted to the Collective Security Council. It concerns the establishment of collective aviation forces and the organisation of mobile air defence units,” he said.

According to Masadykov, there is also a proposal to create cyber forces.

“Some countries proposed considering the possibility of conducting cybersecurity exercises and even discussed the potential creation of cyber warfare units within the Collective Security Treaty Organization,” he added.
