Cross-Border Commuter Trains Could Connect Bryansk and Homiel

Cross-border commuter rail services could connect Bryansk, Homiel, Polatsk, Vitsyebsk and Velikiye Luki. Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in a video address to participants of the Forum of Regions.

“Regular passenger flights to Belarus operate from 10 regions of Russia. In April, cross-border commuter train services between Smolensk and Vitsyebsk, and between Smolensk and Orsha, were launched. Next in line are the routes Velikiye Luki–Vitsyebsk, Velikiye Luki–Polatsk and Bryansk–Homiel. Plans also include the construction of the high-speed railway line between Moscow and Minsk,” he said.
