Counterterrorism Agencies From CIS And SCO Countries To Gather In Minsk

The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Counterterrorism Forum will be held in Minsk on October 7-8.

Delegations from 28 countries, 17 CIS and SCO bodies, and 10 international organisations will take part.

The forum will include several events:

• the 4th CIS Conference on Countering Terrorism and Extremism,
• the 12th International Scientific and Practical Conference of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure,
• the 22nd joint counterterrorism exercise of the competent authorities of CIS member states,
• the 22nd joint counterterrorism exercise of the competent authorities of SCO member states.

“On October 8, the force phase of the final stages of the CIS and SCO joint counterterrorism exercises “Eurasia-Antiterror 2026″ will take place in a combined format, with the participation of an intergovernmental contingent of special forces”, the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center said.
