Composer Olga Podgaiskaya Releases Organ Works Album

Belarusian composer and organist Olga Podgaiskaya, who now lives and works in Warsaw, has presented her new studio album, “Organ Works”. The record was released on the Polish sublabel Opus-series.com and is already available for listening.

According to the composer, the album is a deeply personal and intimate story about life in a time of total uncertainty, anxiety and social tension. Each piece on the record was created as a response to contemporary challenges — inner fear, oppressive silence, an acute need for human closeness and, despite everything, a search for light. It is an attempt to capture the unique human emotions and collective experiences of recent years, translated into the language of musical sound.

The organ is at the centre of the album’s musical universe. Podgaiskaya masterfully combines the grandeur of the instrument with a contemporary musical language and a refined sensitivity to sound.

The album includes nine compositions.

The composer herself did not hide her emotions over the long-awaited release in a post on her Facebook page and thanked the large team that helped bring the project to life:

“Friends, I am delighted to share wonderful news — an album of my organ music has been released! It is so moving to see these tracks now receiving a new life through this recording. My sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the creation of this release and helped make this project a reality.”, the composer wrote.

Among those to whom the author expressed personal gratitude for their support and collaboration on the release were Łukasz Pawlak, Vitaly Appow, Paweł Moszkowicz,  Kseniya Kawko, Julia and Eugene Kanapleidiki, Sergey Shabohin, Ivan Montik, Tatiana Stepaniuk, Pavel Sinila, Kuźma Papakul, Ivan Karizna, Dariusz Przybylski, and Viachaslau Barok.
