Employees of the Mak.by fast-food chain are now wearing Belarusian-made clothing. The localisation effort has extended beyond the fast-food products themselves. This was announced by Nadzeya Lazarevich, chairperson of the Bellegprom concern, at the National Press Centre.
“This is our first comprehensive project involving Belarusian manufacturing. It is our Mak.by project, where we can now confidently say that all Mak.by employees wear garments produced by our concern and our enterprises. These include the 8 March enterprise, the Zhodzina factory, as well as Slavianka and Mogotex, which produced the fabrics, and our Lida factory, which manufactured footwear specifically for the employees,” she said.
According to her, Mak.by will not be the only chain outfitted by the concern. Lazarevich expects that agreements on producing corporate clothing for the Pyaty Element retail chain will also be reached in the near future.
“We are now discussing a situation in which, I hope, all employees of Pyaty Element will be wearing knitwear that is knitted and sewn, including by enterprises within our concern,” she added.
