Chocolate products will not become more expensive in Belarus this year, Belgospishcheprom Chairman Aleh Zhydkou said at the Food Prom Confectionery symposium in Minsk.
“The change in cocoa prices is already moving in the opposite direction. We have gone through the peak, when prices were rising and reached their maximum in 2025. In the first quarter of 2026, we are already purchasing at prices that are 3 to 3.5 times lower than those in 2025. We can confidently state that we do not expect any increase in retail or wholesale prices for these products in 2026,” he said.
It should be noted that despite the significant decline in raw material prices, Zhydkou did not suggest that prices for finished products could also decrease.
