Director General of Belenergo Andrei Panchenka, together with the leadership of Vitebskenergo, held a videoconference with representatives of Chinese companies with the assistance of the Belarusian Embassy in China.
The parties discussed prospects for building 55 hectares of automated greenhouse complexes of the fourth and fifth generations using Chinese technologies. Panchenka told the partners about Vitebskenergo’s experience in industrial vegetable cultivation and the availability of pre-project documentation for the first stage of construction. The Chinese side shared its experience in building similar facilities abroad and confirmed its interest in implementing the project in Belarus.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to hold consultations on technical, organizational and financial issues with the participation of the Consulate General of Belarus in Shanghai. Chinese partners also received an invitation to visit Belarus to inspect potential sites for construction.
