Revenue of Belarusian sanatoriums increased by 21 percent last year and exceeded 1.5 billion rubles. These figures were presented at a press conference at the National Press Center by Director of the Republican Center for Public Health Improvement and Sanatorium and Resort Treatment Hennadz Balbatouski.
According to him, the average occupancy rate of sanatoriums stood at 84.6 percent. More than 1.5 million people underwent health treatment there, including 260,000 foreigners from 80 countries. Revenue from the export of services rose by 40 percent to $175 million.
A total of 799,000 beneficiaries visited sanatoriums using budget funds and resources of the Social Protection Fund. A total of 290 million rubles was allocated for this purpose.
Over the year, sanatoriums invested more than 251 million rubles in new equipment and modernization.
Sanatoriums are already more than 60 percent booked for the spring months of 2026.
