Belarusian Police to Switch to Reinforced Duty Regime for Easter

Due to the celebration of Easter, the Interior Ministry is switching police officers and internal troops personnel to a reinforced duty regime. Special attention will be paid to places where religious services are held.

“If necessary, access control and searches using technical equipment will be organized”, the ministry’s press service said.

The ministry said police officers would protect citizens from criminal attacks, prevent offenses and ensure road safety, including through the use of the national public safety monitoring system.

The Interior Ministry urged citizens to observe public order and remain vigilant. People who notice unattended items or suspicious individuals are asked to call 102 or inform the nearest police patrol.
