Belarusian Interior Ministry Delegation Takes Part in Interpol General Assembly Session

A delegation of the Belarusian Interior Ministry participated in the 93rd session of the Interpol General Assembly in Marrakesh, Morocco. The event gathered around 800 representatives from 179 countries and international organisations.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Aliaksei Vershel, deputy head of the National Central Bureau of Interpol. Interior Ministry representatives held bilateral meetings with law enforcement officials from Turkey, Sri Lanka, Russia, China, the UAE and other countries. Measures and formats for further developing cooperation were discussed, the Interior Ministry newspaper “Na Strazhe” reported.

The session addressed cooperation in combating transnational crime, terrorism and illegal migration, as well as threats linked to the activities of international fraudulent centres.
