Belarusian Government Reintroduces Licensing for Export of Glass Waste

The Council of Ministers has reintroduced licensing for the export of glass waste under Resolution No. 822 of December 31. The document was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal and enters into force upon publication.

Licensing is introduced for glass waste (HS code 7001 00 100 0) for a period of six months.

A one-time license for the export of the specified waste to the EAEU countries and outside the union must be obtained from the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade in coordination with the Ministry of Architecture and Construction. The resolution does not apply to transit shipments.

The document also defines the procedure for coordinating and issuing licenses.

Restrictions on the export of glass waste were previously introduced by the government in February last year.
