Belarusian Fined at Polish Border for Bringing in Cash Without Declaration

A Belarusian citizen attempted to bring $17,300 into Poland without declaring it. He was fined, according to the Chamber of Tax Administration in Białystok.

At the Bobrowniki border crossing, Polish customs officers inspected a 27-year-old truck driver entering Poland from Belarus. They found $17,300 in his luggage that the man had not declared.

The Belarusian was fined 8,000 zlotys ($2,200) for attempting to illegally transport currency across the border.
