Belarusian Drones and Electronic Warfare Systems Conduct Combat Duty in Ethiopia

Belarusian unmanned aerial vehicle systems and electronic warfare equipment that have undergone testing in Ethiopia are already conducting combat duty in the region, the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus reported.

According to the agency, the Belarusian exposition at Aviation Expo 2026, which opened on January 23, was visited by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali. Chairman of the State Military-Industrial Committee Dzmitry Pantus personally demonstrated the unmanned aerial systems and electronic warfare equipment to the head of the Ethiopian government.

“It should be noted that these types of weapons and military equipment, which have undergone testing on the territory of Ethiopia, have proven themselves successfully and are already conducting combat duty in order to ensure security in the region,” the press release said.

In the near future, the establishment of joint assembly facilities for the military equipment presented at the exhibition is planned.

Earlier, Pantus met with Ethiopian Defense Minister Aisha Mohammed and the country’s Chief of the General Staff, Field Marshal Birhanu Jula Gelalcha.
