Belarusian Car Market Grew By 13% In A Month

In February, legal entities in Belarus sold 4,100 new passenger cars. Compared with January, sales increased by 13%, the Belarusian Automobile Association reported.

Sales of BelGee and Geely last month rose by 41% compared with January, reaching 2,700 units. The two brands accounted for 65% of the market.

The association also noted a decline in sales of the Russian brand Lada. They decreased by 13% to 470 vehicles.

“The February market confirmed the transformation of the industry — the concentration of demand around domestic products is strengthening, and the ‘green’ agenda is becoming decisive for dealer sales,” the statement said.

It should be noted that BelGee sales are also growing rapidly in Russia.
